     | Club: Ice Bike | | Weather Conditions: Sunny. N wind 10 mph. 14°. | | Ride Description: From Roland Olson Forest Preserve... I rode the Stone Bridge Trail, end to end (11.7 miles), then did one lap on the icy road in the Park.

I was so cold when I started, I almost turned around 3 or 4 times, but the more I rode, the warmer I got.

Saw 1 snowmobile, 1 dog walker and 1 runner on the trail today.

And, I actually saw another set of bike tire tracks in the snow, on the north end of the trail.
I'm not the only idiot out there!

I Found out why I'm getting a bad case of saddle soreness. My skin is torn, like a cut, where I sit on my saddle. I may not be riding until this heals.

HR Monitor includes 9 minutes of rest, to warm up and take pictures.

I was so cold when I started, I almost turned around 3 or 4 times in the first 15 minutes. The north wind was brutal, but the more I rode, the warmer I got.
 The wind chill was 2°.

(This is a family site... No photos.)

I gained over 300 positions on my little 13 mile ride. Riding in January is fun!

Photo #4... The Ice Bike takes a short break. (That old, hard saddle might have to go.)
