| Weather Conditions: Windy, some clouds, some overcast, some blue sky and sun. Around 60°...knickers, short sleeve jersey, heavy windbreaker, and a balaclava to keep my ears warm completed my wardrobe. Was not too warm at all! |
| Ride Description: First ride of the year, first back in Taiwan after a fantastic winter holiday in the states. Took the path past the Grand, and just went out a bit before turning bback. Jet lag, tired legs, wind smack in my face...nice ride, but ok to cut it short.
***Well, hmmm, glad I got in this ride today since I have been told to stay off the bike for at least two weeks due to an inflamed patella from me smacking my knee on the marble floor when I fell out of bed trying to grab the ringing telephone the day before I left for winter vacation. (No wonder I had such pain the few times I bumped my knee on the dreadfully long flight from here to San Francisco.) I'm not supposed to walk up or down stairs either...I'm so glad I work on the 4th floor...guess I'll be walking to the library elevators and let my students walk themselves down the stairs when we go to lunch. I've got anti-inflammatories for two weeks plus an appointment with Dr. Hang on Friday to see if things are progressing favorably. |
