Every year I look forward to this huge bike swap in Madison, Wisconsin. It is sponsored by Cronometro. www.cronometro.com/index.html
You can find just about any cycling product on earth (and even some non cycling related stuff), if you look hard enough.
Local bike stores, individuals, cycling teams, racers and collectors bring everything they want to get rid of. Almost everything is a steal.
This year I got a brand new Selle Italia Flite Ti-316 saddle for $75. The lowest price I've seen one on these on the internet, is $130 + shipping, and I've seen them go for as much as $175. I got it from Bjorn Selander's "Ridley tent". Bjorn's a local Wisconsin superstar that just signed with Lance Armstrong's Radio Shack Team, so all his former sponsor's swag had to go. If I hadn't already bought a cyclocross bike, I would have bought Bjorn's high zoot, carbon, Ridley Team cyclocross bike. It had full SRAM Red components and super trick wheels for $2000. Sick. The bike didn't last long.
I've also been thinking about replacing my old, 12 to 15 year old Sidi mountain bike shoes. They are still great shoes, but are looking a little scruffy after a dozen or more years of mountain biking abuse. I found a pair of Sidi Dominator 5's (new in the box) in my size for $138. They are women's shoes, but the only difference I can find is, the women's shoe has different graphics (Red lighting bolts instead of gray) on the heel. The straps (velcro & buckle) are a little shorter, And there is a small white tag with the breast cancer awareness Pink Ribbon on the right side of the right shoe. It could easily be removed, but I'm leaving it. It's a great cause. This shoe usually sells for $269.
Fun, Fun Fun!
