| Weather Conditions: WINDY WINDY WINDY with gusty winds. Cloudy, overcast, threat of rain. Windy. Cruddy. Temp was good at 75ish. |
| Ride Description: Nobody showed for the Saturday morning ride (iffy weather, Karen P. on her way to the states with a bunch of middle schoolers, food fair at school later) so I went out alone. Went to where they are tearing up the bike path once again to make it better (?) past Dadaocheng Wharf. Had hoped to do the bike paths near the zoo, but too mucky and torn up. Fought the wind again, and today the wind won, as I had hoped to get in at least 63 miles, and I settled for 43. It at least was a good workout, even though it was not an enjoyable ride. Slow ride as well. There were some headwinds so I cruised along around 18-20 mph, but the headwinds destroyed any chance of having a good average speed. BUT...I was out on the bike, I got in some fresh air, and I am close to my 500 mile month. So, not a bad day after all. (gotta quit being such a curmudgeon) |
