Today Bill and I rode from his house across his neighborhood then down to the trail. We went through the park and stayed on it through the Cancer Survivors Center. We rode up to the root tree on Furman Way then on up the hill and cut across that part of town to the trail. We rode to Washington Street and took the trail extension to Hampton Station, then took another trail extension to Old Buncombe Road by the railroad underpass. We took Old Buncombe to Velo Valet, but Carlo wasn’t there today. We rode across the neighborhood to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe. I refilled the water and bought 4 peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies. One for Bill, Dale, Cissi, and me. We had a snack then rode back down the trail and through the parks and back to Bill’s neighborhood. We knew we were getting close to 20 miles, so we took an extra loop and got the 20 miles in. After dropping off Bill I drove to the Cafe then rode across the neighborhood to Old Buncombe and I took it to Paris Mountain. Then I came in the north entrance and looped the lake and headed back down the trail. I saw Ken while going south then rode back to the Cafe.
