Just a pleasant winter's day ride today with moderate temperatures. A little windy, but not to bad. Just doing errands. No big hurry.
Today may have been my last ride until the 29th. After returning from today's ride, I cleaned the slush and grime from the drivetrain, and gave the chain a fresh lubrication. All is ready to pack the bike into the van tomorrow for the holiday trip to Pittsburgh--leaving early Tuesday morning. I'm not sure if I'll get to ride while there, but I'm taking the bike just in case.
I could actually commute to work and back on Monday, but the bike is all packed up for the trip. Yeah, that's the ticket--I can't commute on Monday because the bike is all packed up for the trip. Yeah, that's it.
Not commuting on Monday has absolutely nothing to do with the fact the predicted temperature during the Monday morning commute will be 1°F (-17°F windchill) and the tempertaure for the afternoon commute may leap up to 5°F. No sir. The temperature has nothing to do with it.
That's odd. I never noticed that my nose was this long before. Oh well.
PS: Ollebear, you're a better man than I.
