Today I rode to the zoo to meet Jeff. It’s been nearly two weeks since I rode last. We headed up the trail with Jeff being Jeff. He ran off the trail, but he didn’t roll over. But after he ran off the trail the rear hub wouldn’t shift properly. Later Jeff stopped suddenly in front of me and I nearly hit him. But that is how it goes riding with Jeff. We made it to Furman and looped the lake, but didn’t climb the hill behind the lake as Jeff couldn’t get in the right gears. We rode a little farther north and turned on to a side trail that goes by a church and to a firehouse. We stopped and I took a picture there. From there we rode back down the trail. I saw Steve S riding north while we were riding south. Jeff and I stopped at FreeHub Cycles once we were back downtown. The girl there saw that the shifter housing was out of place and popped it back into place. From there I rode toward home. I climbed the big hill and when I was on East Circle I saw Brenda taking groceries into the house, so I stopped to talk with her and her daughter.
