I rode the Surly to Cleveland Park and met Jeff at the entrance to the zoo. We rode straight up the trail then Jeff pulled off at the Pocket Park. While there a group also stopped with Sue on a recumbent trike, Kimberly, and 2 other fellows. It is a small group of veterans that ride once a month. We ran into Sue before doing the same ride. We chatted a while then headed on up the trail and ran into light rain. It rained up to Furman and continued to rain as we circled the lake. I thought the rain would slow Jeff down about attacking the big hill behind the lake, but we attacked it anyway. We stopped at a gazebo on the far side of the lake so Jeff could look through his pannier for gloves. His pannier is packed with everything imaginable, but there were no gloves. It took him a long time to unpack the pannier and go through all the junk. It gave us a few minutes out of the rain. We finished circling the lake and headed south. We finally ran out of the rain just after we passed through the Pocket Park. We rode back into town and stopped at Papi’s Tacos. I had Papi put the tacos on a bed of lettuce instead of shells and I hd a fried fish taco and a grilled shrimp taco. Jeff headed home to study and I headed back to the parks. I had to do a couple of loops in the parks to get a quarter.
