Today I rode to Petco to take care of the cats. Alexa said the temp was 50 degrees, so I wore my shorts. But that was the coldest 50 degrees that I remember riding in! The ride over was uneventful, although I climbed the Laurens Bypass hill on another street and it was an easier climb. We had 2 cats - Luna, a solid black kitten and Sasha, and pretty brown tabby with some yellow tabby, white socks, belly, and chest. Both of these cats are fairly low energy cats. I stopped at REI and talked to PJ. He’s a character as always, but a very likable character. I rode back and went to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe. I bought a container of mixed nuts for me and an oatberry shortbread for Cissi. I rode back by way of Hampton Station and the Hampton Avenue Bridge. I was going to take Broad street back to the Cleveland Park, but it was closed. I cut by the pavilion and took the walk bridge back across the river to the trail, At the Cancer Survivor Center I went back to the streets into Cleveland Park and took Washington Street to the big hill. I stopped part way up the big hill to talk to Pat, then rode the rest of the way home.
