| Weather Conditions: Windy, yes headwinds for much of the ride, overcast, although the sun did play peek-a-boo with me for awhile. Chilly...probably 65°. |
| Ride Description: Looked for Ralph's way to the bike path. Ended up at Veteran's Hospital as usual. Headed toward 2 statues, turned on what I thought was Wen-Lin, felt like the wrong direction so I turned around. Still felt like the wrong direction, but then I spied the "singletrack" outlet so went that way. Nice way. On to Guandu, red bridge, donut, back to Guandu. Up the hill (didn't get geared down enough so had to get off near the top) then back home via the causeeway. Pushing 17-20 mph the whole way back, and I didn't even make up 1 mph on the speedometer. Had fun trying though! Went past the incinerator for the first time in a long time...nice road with very little traffic today. Up the hill with a darn headwind, up another hill, then over Piglet Bridge road and back home. Fantastic ride. Still hacking and blowing...hope the ENT is open today. |
