It was a little tough trying to figure out what to wear for the 42 degree ride into work, while being adaptable for the 59 degree ride home... I opted for the short finger gloves, which were a fine choice for yesterday's 50 degree ride into work. Well, they were not the best choice today. I was just a couple blocks from the house when my fingers realized they were exposed to the chilly air, and... I could feel the air flowing through the porous material across the back of my hand (funny I don't feel that so much on the warm summer days). Then my index & middle fingers about protested when they were required to leave their comfortable close grip on the handle bar, in order to grab & squeeze the metal brake lever. Though they did get cold, my fingers/hands didn’t get numbing cold, and they survived the trip.
My hands & fingers were OK with the short finger gloves this evening, but would have appreciated the full finger gloves instead.
