Distance: 18.10 miles Category: training: endurance - solo Time: 01:29:04
Avg Speed: 12.19 mph Max Speed: 0.00 mph Terrain: Road: Hills
Bike: Giant OCR 3 Road
Weather Conditions: Cool, bloody damn windy, the worst I've seen. At least there was a bit of sun.
Ride Description: Blech, this rates as one of the worst days/worst rides EVER in Taiwan! Wind, once again. Traffic was maniacal. People were nuts. Headed out, had to go back for my sunglasses, thankfully just a mile and a half out. Headed up Cherry Hill, big mistake because the wind was in my face and far too many people were headed up the same direction. So...down the bit of hill I climbed, headed toward Peitou, try that climb. Well, that was even more stupid, the wind was worse, the people were far worse. So, back down the little bit of hill I climbed and headed toward Guandu via the causeway. Scooter lane, wind, but traffic was ok. Got to Guandu, headed down the bike path and gave up. Turned around and fought the wind/people/traffic the rest of the way home.
