I didn’t ride my bike to work this morning because of an appointment with my retina specialist. I received a great report, with the Dr stating that the fluid that was behind the retina has finally completely dissolved! He said he was happy to be able to give such a good report, and he showed us (Jacque was there with me) the progression from the pictures taken over my past 3 visits. When we fir...st started this process in June ’09, he said that it may take a while for the residual fluid that he was not able to disperse during the surgery to be absorbed & dissipate, and he has been optimistically encouraged with the continued improvement at each visit. So, now I don’t have to go back to him for 1 year.
After the appointment, Jacque dropped me off at work, with my bike so I can ride home. Now to try & get some work done while my dilated eyes return to normal over the next couple hours. I’ve got to lean over my desk to get within a foot of the monitor to be able to read it; wearing my glasses doesn’t improve my ability to read the screen, and the skylight over my desk isn’t helping much either.
