This morning I drove to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe to ride with the Swamp ROMP. There were 4 from the Swamp ROMP - Bob, Wilson, Linda, and me and Seneca has a group and he brought 3 others - Sarah, Kirk, and Chandra. Sarah’s husband works for the USPS and tranferred down from New Jersey last year. She and I talked a lot about the USPS going up the trail. Kirk was riding an electric bike. We rode to TR then decided to ride to the north end before eating a Shortfield’s. I had the Soup and Half Sandwich with a Grilled Garden Sandwich - Portabella Mushroom, Onion, Tomatoes, Fresh Mozzarella & Basil Pesto on Brioche. Very good! Kirk moved recently from Baltimore and Chandra is from India and Sarah is from New Jersey, so the conversation had some funny twists. Kirk’s bike’s battery died going home and he had a very heavy bike to pedal back. Once we finished at the Cafe Kirk wasn’t with us, so I pedaled back north until I ran into him then we pedaled back together.
