I left this morning to drive to the Cafe then ride to Velo Valets for the Bike ‘n Brew. The Bike ‘n Brew is a showcase for bikes - old, new, strange, custom, odd, or whatever. They brew some coffee then ride to TR for lunch and ride back. I rode from the Cafe to Velo Valets and nobody was there. The BIke ‘n Brew is in 2 weeks. I figured that I could get back to the trail ahead of the Swamp ROMP and ride with them. I rode to the Pocket Park at Sulphur Springs Road and waited about 5 minutes and they showed up. There were Joe F, Joe Y, Bob, Wilson, Barbara, and two others that I did not know. We rode to the Railroad car at Furman where the 2 that I didn’t know left and we picked up Kathy and Jay. We rode on up to TR and went to the Farmhouse Tacos. I had a haddock with strawberries taco with burnt corn on the cob. It was really good. When we tried to leave Barbara had a puncture from the homemade bike rack. Joe, Joe, Bob, and Wilson patched the tube and put it back together, but Kathy and Jay had left so Jay could do her homework. The 6 of us rode back down the trail to the Cafe. This is the first time that I have ridden in 7 weeks and I was really feeling it.
