About five miles in I heard a pop putting on my rear brakes. I wasn't feeling too strong then so I didn't think much about feeling like I was dragging. A couple miles later I discovered the pop was the spring mechanism that retracts the left rear brake coming loose. I put it back on and things were much easier.
