Today after work I drove to Furman to ride since Cis is out of town. With it in the 90s I headed north from Furman and rode to the north end of the trail, then back to Travelers Rest and stopped at Dukes Doggs. I had chicken tenders with fries and a drink. I headed south after chowing down and chatting with Kristy. There are signs up on the trail saying that it will be closed between Willard Street and Washington Street on June 24 to July 3. There is an easy ride around to bypass that part of the trail. The signs say it will be closed for construction. Now I am wondering what construction will be going on. I have some ideas but will see once it's completed. I rode south to Linky Stone Park then turned back north and rode back to the north end of the trail, then rode south again to the pickup at Furman. I guessed that it would be about 35 miles and I finished at 35.02 miles.
