This morning I left the house and drove to the cafe to meet the Swamp ROMP at 9 a.m. There were 12 of us this morning - Joe, Bob, Wilson, Barbara, Kathy, Ron, Seneca, Art, Dee, Chandra, Suzy, and me. We set a very slow pace up the trail and stopped several times along the way. I rode along with Kathy for a while then rode up the rest of the trip up with Chandra. He is from India but went to school at Clemson and is working as an engineer for BMW. We turned around in Travelers Rest and rode back south. I rode most of the way with Suzy. Once we were back at the cafe we rode into town and over to MAC’s. I had burnt brisket ends with cole slaw and a lot of water. Then we rode back to the cafe to end the ride. I stepped in the cafe and bought a chocolate chip chocolate cookie, an oatberry shortbread, and a pint of freshly picked strawberries to take home.
