This morning I took off and rode to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe to meet and ride with the Swamp ROMP. Six of us left the cafe - Joe, Karen, Alice, Roger, Seneca, and me. We slowly made our way to Furman where we picked up Kathy and Marty. We rode on up to Travelers Rest in time for a late breakfast. We went into Williams Hardware for breakfast where I had the Grits with Everything and sweet tea. The grit was a bowl of grits with sausage, ham, peepers, and onions with two strips of bacon and a soft boiled egg. Karen continued her long story about putting a double-wide in her trailer park in TR. She finally got permission to hook it up and put it in service. Once we were at the table I asked Joe where Roger was. They hunted for him but he had disappeared. He was in line then he was gone. After eating and visiting a while Roger showed up. He has an issue with the sisters that run Williams Hardware, so he went to the Bistro down the street. We rode from there back down the trail to the Cafe. Karen and I fell off the pace while we talked about this, that, and the other thing. Once back to the Cafe Joe, Alice, and Seneca, and I talked about future early rides. Once the trail is reopened we plan to to the TR for a drink, then back to Greenville to eat an early lunch then return to the cafe.
