I rode the Surly from home this morning to try to get in some easy miles. I rode to the Laurens Road Bridge and took the Paperclip down and followed the trail to Travelers rest and stopped at the TRee House. I had scrambled eggs with bacon and sliced tomato. Kimberly texted while I was there wanting to ride. I headed south but as I approached the Old Buncombe Road crossing I could see a lot of flashing red lights. A ways beyond OBR they EMS people were carting two cyclists to ambulances on the street. There was also an older woman with significant road rash and a lot of blood. I don't know what happened, but it looked pretty bad. From there I rode home so that I could get the A-a-S kit to Josie.
