Distance: 36.50 miles Category: training: general - solo Altitude Gain: 0 ft
Time: 02:28:58 Avg Speed: 14.70 mph Max Speed: 24.67 mph
Terrain: Road: Flat Bike: Bacchetta Corsa 24/650 SWB Bent
Weather Conditions: Pretty ok. Some clouds, 70ish, a bit humid, and wind...hey, it's Nebraska!
Ride Description: South on 47, into a south wind. Was going to go ahead and go to Farnam, but when shifting down for the wind and a small hill, the chain came off. Got it back on, no problem, and one farmer even stopped to see if I needed anything...thanks! I decided to just ride my normal south Cozad old highway route. Good choice. Wind was pretty fierce from the south and east, so going home with the wind was pretty sweet. Not a bad average at 14.7, but one day it will be a solid 15!!! Oh yeah, I wore cotton capris and a lightweight denim long sleeve shirt to keep the sun off my arms. And to do an experiment to see if the poster on bikerideronline was right when he says biking clothes aren't necessary for bent riding. Yeah, right. Give me my lycra any dang day. That dude can keep his cotton bloomers and sweat like a pig.
