| Ride Description: About 8 miles south of town on hwy 47 toward Farnam. Turned around because the headwind was just too much, so the tailwind for part of the way was nice. Stopped at the Donut shop and got a long john to take to the park and eat. Then went part way out on the old highway and back. Wind, not good. Heat, not good. Oh, almost forgot...max speed 25.7 on the flat road to outchase those three pesky mongrels at the blue-roofed white house. Happens again, I'll be calling someone. This ended up being my last Nebraska ride for the summer. Bummer having to think about leaving the peace and quiet and wide open roads...but go back to Taiwan I must. Gotta get the $$$ to pay off the house! |
