I took off today to get in a final ride of the holiday weekend. I rode to the Cleveland Park and through Falls Park by way of the Trail. I rode up to Travelers Rest and stopped at the gazebo along the trail for a snack of peanuts and pineapple with a good drink of water. Then I rode on to the north end of the trail and turned back south. I stopped again at the gazebo for another snack and finished off my bottle. I refilled it at the water fountain. I rode down to Furman and left the Trail to loop around Swan Lake on campus. Then I rode the Trail south to Linky Stone Park and turned back north up to Blue Ridge Drive where I turned back south. I rode down to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe where I bought a glass of iced tea and two Blueberry Apricot cakes - one to take home for Cis and one to eat. I downed most of my water and several galsses of tea. I iced up my water bottle and refilled it with water and headed back south. I rode through downtown as I figured Falls Park would be crowded and took a short excursion through Cleveland Park. I stopped at a shelter to finish off my snack and down another bottle of water. Then I headed back to climb East North Street and get on home. The wind wasn't as stout as the last two days, but it was still there and was a challenge at times.
