 4th of July Ride
It rained all morning, but I left a little after noon to get in a 4th of July ride. I left home and rode down to Cleveland Park, but Falls Park was loaded so I took the way around and came down River Street to the Trail. The ride up the Trail was fairly uneventful except for the strong winds in my face. It was a tiring ride up the Trail. Once I was at the cemetary north of Travelers Rest I turned off and rode to Lindsey Lake, but instead of turning right to Tubbs Mountain Road, I turned left to Jamison Road to Bowers. I had never been that way and it was a very scenic route. There were also some hefty climbs wandering around the base of Tubbs Mountain. I finally made it to the ride up Tubbs and turned striaght into the wind to climb it. It's usually an easy climb, but it was very tiring. I followed Tubbs Mtn Road all the way back into TR then stopped at the BP station to ice down my water bottle and drink a bottle of Power Ade. From there I rode back down the trail with a couple of excursions in and around Cleveland Park finally on home.
