I rode the Trek from the house this morning with the intention of riding to the Cafe for breakfast, then onto Furman, and back home. When I got to the bottom of East North I was next to a motorcycle and he said "Be glad that you're not riding up that hill!" I told him that I live just beyond that hill and I end most of my rides by climbing that hill from one direction or another. I rode through the park and through Falls Park, but the trail was very crowded. I made it to the Cafe and had a bacon, egg, and cheese on stecca. I also had a breakfast smoothie made with grapes, figs, rolled oats, toasted pecans, almond milk, and apples. It sounds odd, but it was good. I started to feel a little light-headed so I rode home instead of going on up to Furman. Since I started riding again I am very out of shape, so I am struggling along. I also am getting saddle sores. I haven't had that in several years. I rode home across town because the trail was packed. Greenville is swelling with people coming for the eclipse. They expect to have over 500K people in town for it. That's a lot for a little city like Greenville. Traffic started snarling up on Friday and it is expected to ony get worse until after it's over.
