| Weather Conditions: Far too hot and humid for anybody with sense to be out on a bike. No wonder I had some of the bike paths almost to myself. Overcast again, and the wind came up. Too bad it wasn't a cooling breeze.

Ride Description: Solo Sunday am ride. First up Cherry Hill to Four Corners, and back down via Peitou. Then to Guandu circle via the causeway and turned around. Decided there was far too much road traffic to do the coast road. Was able to get on the path from the causeway, a new addition, and headed toward Tienmu, when my brain kicked in and I went back to Guandu and got the address of the bike shop in Chinese so Jeanne can taxi there. And from there decided to do the river loop since it's been ages since we've gone that way. Decided against going any further than Dadaocheng since I was really suffering from the heat, so stopped for some salt and liquid and headed home. At one point in the ride this am, I outran AND outbarked a nincampoop dog who wanted my leg for a snack. At another point I ran after a guy on an incredibly strange and unique bike. (see photo) The heat almost did me in today, had to stop often in the shade, felt light-headed and nauseous at times. Really should have taken the shortcut from Dadaocheng. Dang humidity and heat really played havoc with my already slow speed today!
