| Ride Description: Oh, what a fine ride it was this morning. Karen P., Karen J., Gretchen, Donna, Claire and myself went to Dadaocheng Wharf, stopped for some quick bike maint., then went on to the fake arches. Turned around, back to the wharf, out to the convenience store for some goodies, then back to the wharf and the ferry. Sat on the top deck of the ferry, enjoyed the jumping fish and the cool river breeze. Got off at Guandu, stopped at that bike shop...which will be moving all but the rental part to Bali, dagnabbit, then went on back to Tienmu. Karen J. took her route, the rest of us went up Piglet (Karen made the 90 degree turn for the first time ever) then after the busy road, we split up even more. I led Gretchen, Claire, and Donna to Wendell's, Karen went her own way, and at Chung Shan, I went my own way as well. This was a "soft" ride...soft light, soft weather, soft riding. (and it's leaving a soft spot in my heart...or is that my head?) |
