This morning I drove to the Cafe to get in a ride and stop by Velo Valet for the unveiling of their new mural and Velot Valet Gives Back. I headed up the trail into a stiff wind. I met Bill D about a half mile south of Furman. Just south of Travelers Rest I rode along with another cyclist that I think is Sonny. He had just come off Paris Mountain and said their was a cyclist on the mountain taken off in an ambulance. In TR he continued on nrth while I turned back. I turned off the trail at Blue Ridge Drive and cut across Sans Souci to get to Velo Valet. The prceedings started at 11 and I arrived around 11:15. Sarah was giving a speech thanking various and sundry people for their part in the mural and the Velo Valet Gives Back orgnaization. hen several others gave speeches as well. Then they had a ribbon cutting and dismissed for food. I bought a bar-b-que dinner and a bottle of smart water. While there I saw Elissa, Kimberly, Carla and Sarah F, Ken and Jamie F, Mary M, and Tonda K. From there I rode back to the cafe and drove home.
