I rode the Trek from home to Cleveland Park, looped the old dog park, then went through Falls Park and up the trail. I did the long loop at Furman then went on up the trail. I got off the trail before the cemetery and did my longer loop to Tubbs Mountain. When I got on White Horse Extension a rider in a Hincapie jersey passed me and turned up Tubbs Mountain Road in front of me. I tried to use him to pace myself up the mountain. I climbed the steep climbs faster than he did but he smoked me on the false flats. I stayed close to him all the way back to Travelers Rest. From there I rode back down the trail. I got off at the Orange Line to the Hampton Avenue Bridge then took Washington to Broad Street back to Cleveland Park. I climbed Hillside to get home, but after chasing that guy up Tubbs my legs were tired.
