Today I rode the Surly from home. It's my first ride in a couple of weeks. I rode to Cleveland Park and got on the trail and rode north to Furman where I got off and did my two mile loop around campus. From there I rode to the north end then stopped at Jade's hotdog stand and had two weiners with mustard, onions, and chili on slaw with a side of slaw and a bottle of water. I talked to Jade for quite a while. Then I rode back to TR and stopped at the TReeHouse for a cafe au lait and I said "Hey" to Gene and talked with Ragan for a bit. I rode back down the trail and stopped at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and went in to see if it had changed lately. I looked around for a bit, got a good drink and rode from there by the new Riveside apartments and Hampton Station. I crossed the Hampton Avenue Bridge and took Washington to Broad Street to Falls Street and Camperdown Way. I went by the F-86 and the tree of death into Cleveland Park and left the park by way of the zoo parking lot. I took Washington to Laurens and climbed Hillside. Going up Hillside, I stopped and talked with Pat and his two boys Andrew and Samuel. Then it was on to home.
