"The route itself is beautiful and fairly represents riding in the Rocky Mtns. Depending on when you get started, the amount of traffic from fellow cyclists can be fun, annoying, comforting, or somewhat dangerous... it all depends on what you're looking for, and how in-control those around you are. In addition to the handful of towns along the way, the rest stops are well-provisioned, for both you and your bike, as well as lots of fun. The weather has a lot to do with how enjoyable the ride is, as precipitation is common during the afternoon, and descending off a mountain pass in rainy, 40F isn't too much fun - at least in MY book! MY $0.02...."
