 Hi, Debbie. I just happened across your profile because you were right next to me in the mileage listing tonight, and I sometimes like to see who's "around" me. My riding is almost entirely commuting, and I like to encourage other people to commute more, which almost always means riding in car traffic. Since you mention wanting to get more comfortable with this, I would like to encourage you with that. There's lots of internet resources, many of which I list at my bike commuting site, http://bike.meetup.org/132/ . There's also good (if sometimes argumentative) safety discussion at http://www.bikeforums.net . Finally, check out your local advocacy groups and see if they can put you in touch with a Licensed Cycling Instructor from the League of America Bicylists, which offers bike road courses.
