I have ridden with Zurichman on three occassions. First was at Reunion 2004 on Talimena Drive, he finished--I didn't. Second was in the Reunion 2005 preride in Great Falls, MT. And third, during the Reunion 2005 ride between Glacier National Park and the US/Canada border --- we both got really cold on that ride. Z-man is a rider that you can depend on. He's rando-tough; just keep him fed and he'll ride forever, or at least 1200 km in 90 hours.

Amazing rider - just keep him fed and watered and he's a MACHINE! Rode together just before and at ReUnion '05.

Riding with z'man is always a pleasure - I've ridden with him 2 times now, once at First Union (well, I guess it was a couple of times there) and again at the Pre-ride at Reunion 2005. He's a strong rider. I was amazed how he was able to hold the pace he did at First Union with that big ol' Caradice bag on there!!

For a country boy who's done nothing and been nowhere, Z'man is alright. A courteous rider who keeps an eye out for fellow cyclists wellbeing. As long as he keeps Starvin' Marvin is check he's a happy camper.

I've ridden with Z'man a few times in PA and a few times other places across the North American Continent and have enjoyed each time. Like Rob, I am amazed at how Z'man can ride with that Carradice bag loaded up with 14 lbs.! Z'man is a strong rider and concerned about the well being of others. He is a nice fella', a good ol' country boy, who loves an adventure. He is a strong rider as long as Starvin' Marvin' is kept at bay.

Zman is a fun guy to ride with. I'm amazed at how far he can go on so little rest. And that huge Carradice bag...I'm gonna stow away in that thing sometime. Lots of energy and lots of enthusiasm.

Zman's love of all things cycling is unrivaled. He's enjoyable just to be around. Good luck with 2006 RAAM. Just keep that Starvin Marvin fueled up, and you'll speed across the country.

Zman is a great guy. Meeting strangers sometimes makes us awkward. But Zman, made me us all at ease with his pleasant conversation. I would love to ride with him again.

I must return the compliment----you are a strong rider! You seem to have an endless supply of energy whether you are riding or driving hundreds of miles without stopping.Enjoyed riding our 2 centuries in MS and AL. I always like a good wheel to get behind. Yes, that last 30 miles of the AL century was tough with that wind. Thanks for hanging in there with me until the very end! Maybe I'll see you in Colorado this summer. Chris

Hi Zman,
Sydney Melbourne is the best 1200k on the mainland - next one is in 2021 (every 4 years) However Tour de Tasmanie 1200k is probably better again in Tasmania. I haven't done this but have done the Giro Tasmania 1000k which is the best ride that I have completed. This was last held in 2017 next due in 2019.
See you at PBP in 2019? :>) Regards Perry
