Congratulations Gary on the fabulous ride in the Tejas 500 and for becoming RAAM Qualified. Thanks for the repair tools and the cable to get me back on the road when I had my shifter cable go bad after 40 miles on Friday.

Congradulations Gary on all your miles this year and getting to 5th place on Bike Journal.

I'm glad to see you'vwe stayed strong on your riding even after Todd passed away. I know you were really close to him. Jim Burrow and I were talking about Todd on our drive down to Glen Rose today. Anyway keep up the great performance. What's next? RAAM?

Wow!!!. I thought that I had a few bikes,Trek 5200,Specialized Expedition mountain bike, old Raleigh 5 speed, and currently a Catrike recumbent Road. I believe I counted 17 bikes that I assume you currently possess. I also belonged to the Fort Worth club during the 1995-1996 period. I also belonged for a very short time to the Lone Star, and Houston Randonneurs.

I can hardly believe I am seeing that custom Blade!! I believe that is the one I was on the fence about on eBay and passed. If you ever decide to sell that please shoot me an email as I would most likely be interested. I'm looking at getting a custom at the moment, but if memory serves the geo specs the eBayer sent me were perfect. Sexy ride!

What happened with your rides in Sept 2011? They don't appear in your journal. What kind of speed do you do with these mega miles?

Gary...I see you like Litespeeds....I have a 2003 57 cm Litespeed Vortex frame, fork and seatpost for sale. It's too big for me. You know anyone interested?? I have put it on Craigs list and only got inquiries. I am looking for $800 for it. If you know anyone with your passion for Litespeed and might be interested..could you please send them my way. The hubby says I need to clear some room in the basement for the rest of the fleet!

I had to take a look at who our #1 rider is this year. I loved reading about all of your different bikes. I was most impressed by your old bike that you decommissioned and then hung on the wall. I know bikes are inanimate, but they really do get us around.

Dear gpgottleib, I hope that this letter finds you well.

Do you still have your Surly Steamroller? I am after an old 56cm Steamroller frame with the 1" head tube and threaded fork for a quill stem. If your's is 56cm, will you please sell me your frame, please?

Thank you, I gratefully appreciate it. Have a good day.

Sincerely,

Shannon
