 Livewire, The roadside sign photo I use for my avatar is outside of Markleeville, CA, on highway 4 which leads to the top of Ebbets pass. I took the photo in 2006 when I rode the Markleeville Death Ride. (http://www.deathride.com/) The death ride did not cover that section of highway, nonetheless there were some sections that were quite steep, particularly for a Kansas native.
Your day-job sounds interesting, I've got my MS in industrial engineering and like those sorts of things. Ride to work, work to eat, eat to live, live to ride!

By day im a mild mannered Operations Research Manager (Mathematical modeling, optimization modeling, stochastic simulation, probability and statistical analysis, decision analysis, and applied gaming theory, I can do it All!). After that I ride as hard as possible, enjoy Chess, Martial Arts, Guns, Partying, and Beer.
I like to Ride Hard as Possible. Its my only real time for Exercising. Besides, ive always loved Pro Road Cycling as a sport, its the best! I also want to keep fit for my SUPER Hottie Girlfriend. Shes the BEST!
I love Speed and FREEDOM!!!!
Im hoping some day they will mix Cycling with Ultimate Fighting! Then I will be ELITE! Until then, im a wannabe racer looking for the occasional CAT4 CAT5 SCALP.
