I rode the Surly from home then took the new trail to Airport Road to get some extra miles. I miscalculated on the time, so I was going to arrive at the ride about 5 minutes late. That didn't bother me as Jeff is notoriously late, so I figured I'd be okay. I texted Kimberly to go ahead and I'd try to catch them on the trail. I missed them and never did catch them, so I rode to the north end then returned to Travelers Rest and went to the TRee House for brunch. Neither Gene nor Ragan were there. A new girl Morgan told me that Kristen was at work teaching a class, so she is well enough to work for now. I had my normal bacon and eggs with sliced tomatoes and a café au lait. I also got a blueberry score for Cissi. I discovered that I had missed the bike when I locked it to a post of the shelter. How stupid I am starting to feel! When finished, I rode to UpCountry Provisions where the VA group had met. They were all gone except Jeff H and Kimberly. We rode to the old Free Hub Cycles and looked around the new shop. Jeff plans to use them to help him rebuilding old bikes. We rode back to the lot across from the Swamp Rabbit Café. We helped a lady and 20s girl with their bike carrier and how it was mounted. Then Jeff and I rode across town and out to Verdae. He turned back, but I needed a couple of more miles. So I rode up to Legacy Park. I called Cissi from there to meet me at the Airport Road White Duck Taco. I had a lamb gyro taco and she had a steak 'n cheese taco. I also went next door and got another café au lait at Cohesive Coffee. Cissi headed for home and I headed back to Hillside to ride home.
