Today I drove the Trek to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe to ride with the Swamp ROMP, but I arrived for a 10 o’clock ride and they had scheduled an 11 o"clock ride. So I drove hime and returned an hour later. We had 11 show up at the cafe - Joe, Wilson, Joan, Dee, Bob, James, Seneca, Ellis, Allen, one that I didn’t get his name, and me. We also met Terri on campus at Furman. So there were 12 of us today. With the group being that large and several new riders, the pace was very slow. I took my customary place at the back as sweeper. Ellis and I chatted at the back until Terri joined in then she dropped back there and I chatted with her. Once in TR the group stopped to decide where to eat lunch. While they were deciding Don H stopped to say "Hey!" I hadn’t seen Don in a very long time. They decided to eat at Farmhouse Taco. I had never been there before and it was pretty good food. I had a bowl of chorizo and chicken chili with some habenero cheddar cornbread and a glass of Sierra Mist. The chili was not like most chilis, but it was pretty good. The ride back was into the wind. About half way back we ran into Ramona. I rode along with Terri until we dropped her at Furman, then Ellis and I rode together the rest of the way back.
