I drove to the Cafe to meet with the Swamp ROMP today. Nine of us met and left the Cafe to ride - Joe, Cindy, Jeff, Kitty and Brad, Laura and Ralph, Karen, and me. We took off and set a very slow pace up the trail. Three of these riders have never ridden with us and Karen has been off her bike for a couple of years. I sat at the back of the pack and rode along with whoever was back there. Most of the ride it was Karen. But we had a good time talking our way up the trail. We stopped at the Whistle Stop Cafe where I had a BLT with homemade chips and sweat tea. The food and the fellowship were very good. When we left I told them that I needed to hustle back down the trail as I had promised Sheri that I would take Meghan grocery shopping. The ride up the trail was pretty slow, but I hustled y way back to the Cafe to get home. It was a fun ride. I talked with Laura some at the back of the pack, then with Karen the rest of the way. At the meal I talked with Jeff, Joe, and Karen most of the time. I did talk with Kitty some as well.
