Today I rode from home on the Surly. I took East North Street down the big hill and caught the trail in Cleveland Park. I rode up the trail to just short of the SRT and detoured across the Sans Souci neighborhood to catch Old Buncombe Road to get around the closed section of the trail between Blue Ridge and Sulphur Springs. I cut through the Walmart neighborhood grocery and dropped to the Vinings trail that leads to the Furman campus. I met Juan David for lunch and we chatted for a good hour. I also saw CJ meeting with his student. When Juan David left, I took the bike north until I turned around across from the Tandem Creperie. I headed south intending to cut over to see Carlo, but they were just opening the closed section of the trail, so I kept going south. After I crossed Blue Ridge I took the shortcut into Sans Souci and wandered around until I found Gridley Street and Velo Valets. I dropped in and talked to Nate, then Carlo came in and I talked to him. When I left there, I got caught in a light rain until I passed the SRC. From there I took my normal route home.
