Today I rode from home to Cleveland Park to meet Ken’s group. Seven of us met - Ken, Don Y and Lynda, who have just returned from England, also three riders that I didn’t know, Mike, Keith, and Judy, and me. We headed up the trail but cut through downtown to avoid the crowd at Falls Park. We made steady progress up the trail with a detour around the lake at Furman. We stopped at the Treehouse to chat and I drink a Pink Lady - kind of a slushee with coconut and lemon. I also bought a couple of small brownies for Cis. Three others joined us at the Treehouse, but I never got their names and they didn’t ride with us when we left. After we left, I was still struggling with tired legs and body from yesterday’s tire pull and the group was clumped in front of me. I passed the group just north of Furman and thought some of them would come on with me, but I never saw any of them again. I rode the rest of the way down alone, but it was a struggle to negotiate the crowd at Falls Park. Once I was out of the parks, I climbed the big hill and was home.
