Today Steve and I were going to ride from here to Furman then to Dacusville and back. I rode to Overbrook Baptist to meet Steve and our friend Don was waiting for us. Steve said that Ken wanted to ride and would meet us in Cleveland Park. With all of us the pace fell into a very conversational pace so I knew that the ride would take quite a while and I wouldn't get to the baseball game tonight. Then ken decided that he really needed to eat, but there was no food along the route we were planning, so we went on up to TR and stopped at Dukes Doggs. I only had some lemonade but Don and Ken both had dogs and fries. We were there about 45 minutes and Ken needed to go home, so he headed back down the trail. We rode to the north end of the trail and out White Horse Extension then up and down Tubbs Mountain. Then we headed over to Paris Mountain. I hadn't ridden Paris Mountain since before my accident a year and a half ago. We rode up the mountain and back down. There was a nasty accident up at the top of Paris Mountain. A car was damaged badly, but it didn't appear to be any one injured. We split up at the bottom of the mountain. Don headed to Piney Mountain while Steve and I went out Beverly Road. Steve and I split up at Lee Road and Pine Knoll. On White Oak Road I found a set of keys smashed in the street with several exploded FOBs. What a weird ride!
