 Fairforest/ICAR/SRT
Today I headed out for a rolling ride to the ICAR. The wind is still out, but not like the last couple of days. I rode to Cleveland Park and south on the trail. There is a new sidewalk across Pleasantburg from where the trail ends so I rode it up the hill to Parkins Mill and took my usuall route to Fairforest and then to the ICAR. Along Parkins Lake there has always been a massive house with a very large lawn and a lake at the bottom of the hill that looks like a fairway on Augusta National. The lawn has been dug up the last couple of times that I rode through but now the massive house is gone. What a shame! But I rode back to the Y and cut across downtown to catch the trail at Linky Stone Park. I followed the trail to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and pulled in for a treat. I had a freshly made carrot cake and several glasses of iced tea and I bought an oatberry shortbread to take home for Cis. The pollen is really brutal out there.
