I took off from the house this morning and started down East North Street, but when I passed the church there were men laying out a canopy in the yard. I pulled in and talked to Pastor Dale and Pastor Andrew for a minute. Then I pedaled on down the the park and took the trail up to Furman. I stopped by the food court there and got a Chic-fil-a sandwich and a cup of mixed fruit. Then I went to the Agape Center and met my new conversation partner Juan David. We ate our meals and talked for a good while. I also saw Mauro while I was there. After that I rode around the lake then headed up the trail to Travelers Rest. A little south of TR a gal passed me wearing wearing a Village Wrench jersey. I caught her going into TR and she and I talked about the Village Wrench all the way through TR. Then I turned around across from the Tandem Creperie and Susan went on north. I was still in TR when a teenage boy asked me where Travelers Rest is. I told him was in Travelers Rest. He wanted to know where the stop is. That baffled me, so I told him where a couple of places are in TR. Then I headed back down the trail. The wind riding south was really tough. I saw Ken riding north a little south of the Pocket Park. I stopped at the Cafe and bought some sliced ham, bacon, sweet potatoes, russet potatoes, red potatoes, and apples. I also bought a pair of strawberry/almond croissants to take home for snacks. I packed the groceries in my pannier and rode on home. When I left the cafe I noticed that MapMyRide had not restarted since I left Furman. That means Relive missed the ride after Furman as well.
