  | I rode to the park for the normal Sunday ride. Eight of us left to ride - Ken, Cato, Bill, Peter, Susan, Mark, Marc, and me. Ken was leading the way, but Bill, Cato, and I cut across town to avoid the Falls Lake crowd. I heaed down to the trail a Hudson to wait for the group, while Cato and BIll waited at another spot. I didn't stop there as I didn't want to sit in the sun. I waited for quite a while on the trail, then rode back to where Cato and Bill where but they were gone. So I headed up the trail. When I got to the Forest they were just parking their bikes. Plus they had picked up another rider Sherry. That made three new riders - Mark, Marc, and Sherry. I had a cup and coffee and a lemon cake with raspberry frosting. I also bought a cranberry-orange muffin for Cis. When we left TR I rode with Mark as he was riding a Trek Emonda ALR. Then I caught Sunsan and we rode together back to the Cafe. Susan was struggling to keep the pace as they were setting a good pace and she hadn't been riding. Somehow I ended up at the front of the pack and led what was left of the group around the detour and across town. When I was riding home Mark caught me on his Trek. We had taken different paths up the big hill. I turned off and he had about 2 more miles before he was done.
