A ride with Eddie, the founder of Audax South Africa, on what he calls "The Loop". Made a stop at "Eye of Africa", an upscale development and golf course.
Wish I could do this loop "solo" but Eddie advised not riding anywhere in this area of South Africa alone. Too great a chance of bike jacking.
The scenery was nothing to write home about: The African looking bushveld with scrubby brush and everything still a wintery burnt sienna color.
Then a stop at Ron's house for tea and cake and more bike stories. He has quite a number of bikes with the count well over 300. He informed us he found a place in Pittsburgh,PA, USA called the "Bike Heaven" with the motto "All good bikes go to heaven.". Surpasses Ron. This place has 3,000 bikes.
