I drove to the lot on Hudson and rode to the Rudolph Anderson F-86 Memorial to meet Juan David. We rode together to Velo Valets to meet Carlo. Carlo looked over the bike and discussed things with Juan David. He ordered a big ring for the bike and got JD’s number. We rode to the SRC and had some breakfast - a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich and a cup of decaf Americano. From there we rode to JD’s apartment and I dropped him off. I headed back up the trail thinking I would go to Travelers Rest, but I got caught in the rain. I rode on to Furman and found a dry bench to sit on. A girl had been running and was waiting out the rain, so we sat and talked until it let up. I rode around the lake then headed back down the trail. I stopped at the Cafe and had a second cup of Americano and a piece of apple slab pie, then rode back to the truck and barely got a quarter.
