Today is election day in South Africa which means a holiday for most. Was amazing to see the lines at 6:30 a.m. When I finished this ride at 14:00, the line was still long.
What's good about a holiday in Johannesburg, is that the Northern Farm mountain bike trails are open. The trails are open only on week ends and holidays. Score.
Spent about 2 hours finding some trails I hadn't been on, including a nice single track through a small stand of trees. Amazing how much difference a season on a bike makes. The first time I did that singletrack I fell at least 3 times and couldn't maneuver some turns. It felt like Paul Bunyan came in and took down half the trees and his ox widened the path for me.
