Today I rode from the house intending to add some oomph to my ride. I had ridden a quarter mile when I came on Miss Kathryn from down the street walking with her new baby Louisa. I think she’s about a month old and I had not seen her, so I stopped to admire the baby. She’s a cute little thing. I was debating how to add to my ride. I was going to ride the trail then take the Dreamland route home. But once I was on the trail I had almost no climbing legs. They just felt dead. So when I turned around across from the creperie I decided to come down the trail and climb the big hill home. The ride down the trail was pretty nice, being interspersed with a variety of riders that I passed and that passed me. I stopped at the cafe and had a yogurt parfait - yogurt covered with sweet granola and very thinly sliced peaches - and a rosemary peach smoothie. I talked to Jackie (one of the owners) today.then I headed on into town following an older female rider that was a strong rider. She stopped at Papi’s Tacos and I passed her going into the parks. I came out of Cleveland Park and climbed the big hill for the first time since I passed out on it. I had no issue today and when I got to East North Street I turned toward town to go to my credit union and withdraw a little cash at the ATM.
