Taking part in the RBC 10 Parks Tour was great fun, with the group I rode with. The tour leader BruceW did a great job shepherding the group and pointing out some outstanding highlights along the way!
Bruce's innovations and route deviations were a special "value-added" treat on the ride! Among the highlights:
Stopping for lunch at Vic & Irv's. Riding along the new Lakeshore multi-use path. Catching glimpses of the Canadian Precision Flyers and other aircraft at the Rochester Air Show along the lake shore. The Middle Falls excursion on the River Way trail and even the pedestrian ramp and bridge over the I-490 expressway were great added features to the tour!
Wind was a major challenge, especially along the lake shore! But this was a "not-to-be-missed" tour!
While this is an RBC ride event, and an excellent event at that, I attribute all my rides with mileage South of the NYS Thruway to STBC -only because I am a STBC member and not a RBC member. Maybe I should be a RBC member too...

  I'm glad you enjoyed the ride, John. It's always a pleasure riding with you.
I think I've told you that RBC membership gets you a 10% discount at all the bike shops when you show your card. You can get the membership form online at http://www.rochesterbicyclingclub.org/
