-but sometimes their rim brakes squeal!
Good speed aided psychologically by chasing a faster dude on a hybrid. The rider overtook me as we approached a stop. Funny that I was not aware there was a biker behind me. I was running a bit hot due to a late start. And of course heading toward the lake it is .5% downhill. I can average 17mph in that inbound stretch with a little extra effort.
Anyway, this 30ish biker told me he had a hell of a time chasing me down. I said something like "I'm just a 58 year old fat guy running late to work". So what if I embellish my age a bit?! 71 "C4" days commuter miles YTD: 1659.45+/- Total work commutes YTD through this ride: 92 round trip work commutes (includes double round trip days);
